Pour cette ancienne bâtisse typique du Gers, nous avons conçu les espaces extérieurs de cette ancienne demeure comme le prolongement naturel de l'intérieur. Terrasse, jardin et piscine forment un ensemble cohérent, pensé pour profiter du climat du Sud-Ouest tout en respectant le caractère patrimonial du lieu.

Une terrasse dans la continuité de la cuisine

Le lien entre intérieur et extérieur s'articule autour de la terrasse, directement accessible depuis la cuisine via la baie vitrée à cinq vantaux en accordéon (Technal).

La continuité visuelle et matérielle est assurée par le sol en pierre d'Égypte, identique de part et d'autre du vitrage. Ce choix de matériau crée un effet de seuil effacé, où la terrasse devient une véritable pièce de vie à ciel ouvert.

Un jardin orienté détente et convivialité

Le jardin a été aménagé pour conjuguer confort et esthétique. Une piscine en coque australienne (Aqua Pensez-vous ?) y prend place, accompagnée d'un mobilier extérieur sélectionné avec soin : fauteuil « Snooze » (Emu), coussins de sol (Leroy Merlin) et voile d'ombrage (Komilfo) pour filtrer la lumière dans les heures les plus chaudes.

For this former convent building typical of the Gers region, we designed the outdoor spaces as a natural extension of the interior. The terrace, garden and swimming pool form a coherent ensemble, conceived to make the most of the South-West French climate while respecting the site's historic character.

A Terrace Extending the Kitchen

The connection between indoors and outdoors revolves around the terrace, which is directly accessible from the kitchen through a five-panel folding glass door (Technal).

The visual and material continuity is ensured by the Egyptian stone flooring, which is identical on both sides of the glazing. This material choice creates a seamless transition, allowing the terrace to become a true open-air living space.

A Garden Designed for Relaxation and Socialising

The garden was designed to combine comfort and aesthetics. An Australian shell swimming pool (Aqua Pensez-vous ?) takes centre stage, complemented by carefully selected outdoor furniture: “Snooze” armchairs by Emu, floor cushions (Leroy Merlin), and a shade sail (Komilfo) to filter sunlight during the hottest hours of the day.
