Les propriétaires ont fait appel au collectif Créateurs d’intérieur pour un projet d’architecture d’intérieur consistant à décloisonner et réunir 3 studios mitoyens pour en faire un seul grand appartement familial de caractère, chic et contemporain, de 96m2 en plein centre ville.
Les souhaits des propriétaires : réunir trois studios indépendants
Les propriétaires souhaitaient décloisonner et réunir ces trois studios vétustes et indépendants pour faire un grand espace de vie ouvert et lumineux. L’idée était de réunir trois studios indépendants pour créer un appartement en centre ville, adapté à la vie quotidienne d’une famille avec enfants.
Les sols présentaient une contrainte technique qui a dû être prise en compte dès le début du projet. En effet, les différences de niveaux concernant les sols devaient être gommés de façon à agrandir les espaces et simplifier la circulation dans l’appartement.
Enfin, les propriétaires souhaitaient porter une attention toute particulière à la décoration et aux choix du mobilier. La priorité en terme de décoration intérieur était d’aménager un appartement chic et fonctionnel.
Les réponses de l'architecte d'intérieur
Afin de répondre aux souhaits des clients, plusieurs propositions d’aménagements ont été proposées.
Un plan en étoile
L'architecte d'intérieur a mis en avant un plan en étoile dans l’appartement. L'entrée dessert ainsi l'ensemble des autres pièces de l'appartement. Cette entrée est décorée grâce à une console en marbre, une suspension Beat Light Tall de Tom Dixon ainsi qu’un miroir trouvé chez Fleux.
L'espace vers le salon a été ouvert.
Les différences de niveaux au sol ont été gommées grâce a un gros travail sur la structure et une unification du revêtement avec un parquet de la Parqueterie Nouvelle.
Souligner les atouts de la structure
L'espace de l’appartement est mis en valeur par une grande hauteur sous plafond. Des peintures claires et neutres soulignent les atouts de la structure (notamment les poutres apparentes en bois dans le salon).
Dans la salle à manger, la cheminée a été conservée et modernisée.
L'ancienne salle de bain a été remplacée par une cuisine blanche en forme de U.
Une décoration contemporaine et chic
En ce qui concerne la décoration de l’appartement, le salon est articulé autour d'un canapé Naviglio de Arflex. On retrouve également une table basse de la marque Caravane, un fauteuil Loung Chair de Eames édité par Vitra ainsi qu’une enfilade chinée à la Maison Nordik.
Pour les luminaires, l’appartement présente une suspension Orb de chez Bolia, un lampadaire Rewired et une lampe Snoopy de la marque Flos.
Dans la salle à manger, le choix s’est porté sur une table Grasshopper en marbre Rosso Rubino de Knoll et des chaises en cuir brun de Bertoia. Cette sélection de mobilier donne un côté très chic à l'appartement et fait de la salle à manger un espace tout à fait à part dans l’appartement.
Une cuisine ouverte :
La cuisine laquée mat blanche et meubles hauts en chêne est rehaussé par un plan de travail en quartz carrara de Omni-Marbres et des carreaux de ciment trouvé chez Aire Azur carrelage (au format 10 x 10 cm).
Cette cuisine a été ouverte sur le salon au travers d’une petite verrière en acier.
Des chambres élégantes
La chambre parentale a été aménagée avec un dressing et une salle d'eau. Les portes des placards du dressing et la tête de lit on été réalisées sur mesure en fil de chêne clair. Une suspension Vertigo de Petite Fritures ramène un côté poétique à la pièce. Une verrière en coin séparant la salle d'eau du dressing a permis de ramener de la lumière naturelle dans cette pièce aveugle.
Dans les deux autres chambres, de nombreux placards ont été aménagés afin que chaque occupant puisse avoir ses propres rangements.
On trouve dans ces chambres, une chaise Alki, une lampe de bureau Muuto, une bibliothèque de Kann Design, des chevets de la marque Hay ainsi que des suspensions Normann Copenhagen.
The owners called on the Créateurs d’intérieur collective for an interior design project to remove partitions and merge three adjoining studios into a single large, characterful, chic, and contemporary 96m² family apartment in the city center.
Owners’ wishes: merging three independent studios
The owners wanted to remove partitions and merge these three outdated independent studios to create a large, open, and bright living space. The idea was to combine three independent studios into a city-center apartment suitable for daily family life with children.
The floors presented a technical constraint that had to be addressed from the beginning of the project. Indeed, the differences in floor levels had to be leveled to enlarge the spaces and simplify circulation throughout the apartment.
Finally, the owners wanted to pay particular attention to decoration and furniture choices. The priority in terms of interior design was to create a chic and functional apartment.
Interior designer’s solutions
To meet the clients’ wishes, several layout proposals were put forward.
Star-shaped plan
The interior designer highlighted a star-shaped layout in the apartment. The entrance thus serves all other rooms of the apartment. This entrance is decorated with a marble console, a Beat Light Tall pendant by Tom Dixon, and a mirror found at Fleux.
The passage to the living room has been opened.
Differences in floor levels were leveled through extensive structural work and a unified flooring using parquet from Parqueterie Nouvelle.
Highlighting structural features
The apartment space is enhanced by a high ceiling. Light and neutral paint colors highlight the structural features (notably the exposed wooden beams in the living room).
In the dining room, the fireplace was preserved and modernized.
The old bathroom was replaced by a white U-shaped kitchen.
Contemporary and chic decoration
Regarding the apartment’s decoration, the living room is centered around a Naviglio sofa by Arflex. There is also a coffee table by Caravane, a Loung Chair by Eames from Vitra, and a sideboard found at Maison Nordik.
For lighting, the apartment features a Orb pendant by Bolia, a Rewired floor lamp, and a Snoopy lamp by Flos.
In the dining room, the choice fell on a Grasshopper table in Rosso Rubino marble by Knoll and brown leather chairs by Bertoia. This furniture selection gives the apartment a very chic feel and makes the dining area a space entirely distinct within the apartment.
An open kitchen
The matte white lacquered kitchen with upper oak cabinets is enhanced by a Carrara quartz countertop from Omni-Marbres and cement tiles found at Aire Azur Carrelage (10 x 10 cm). This kitchen opens onto the living room via a small steel partition.
Elegant bedrooms
The master bedroom was designed with a dressing room and a bathroom. The closet doors and headboard were custom-made in light oak strips. A Vertigo pendant by Petite Fritures brings a poetic touch to the room. A corner partition separating the bathroom from the dressing room allows natural light into this windowless room.
In the other two bedrooms, numerous closets were installed so each occupant has their own storage. These rooms also feature an Alki chair, a Muuto desk lamp, a bookshelf from Kann Design, bedside tables from Hay, and Normann Copenhagen pendant lights.
